Brother DCP-L2520DW

What the marketing blurb says

This mono laser can print, scan and copy. It is a quite small unit so would easily fit into a cupboard or even onto a strong shelf, being black or perhaps more accurately very dark grey it is unlikely to pass the tests imposed by the ‘lounge police’.

What our printer engineer Marius says

The Brother L2520dw is a wireless and duplex printer but with a very dated look and display. The cost per page are quite high when using the standard yield cartridges. With the option of purchasing the high capacity cartridges the cost/page are comparable with printers from the same class. Bare in mind that when working the cost/page most of the sellers wouldn’t explain that you should factor in the cost of replacing the drum unit. That requires replacing every 12000 pages (around £70 inc VAT). Overall is a great mono MFP for under £150 if printing less than 1000 pages/month.
