What the market blurb says

Canon’s PIXMA TS6050 is an all-in-one design for use with mobile devices and a PC. In general terms it’s easy-to-use and neat on desk or table. It’s not the fastest, but it’s not the most expensive all-in-one to run in what is a very crowded section of the market

What rethink printing says

  • very compact (when not printing)
  • 5cm touch screen display
  • air print
  • Google print
  • Mopria(android)
  • 5 individual inks
  • 4800x1200dpi print quality
  • rear paper tray
  • dedicated photo paper tray
  • wireless
  • wi-fi direct

  • high cost/page (with the Canon standard yield Cartridges)
  • the printer requires more space when printing as the output paper tray will have to extend in order to let the paper come out. So no longer that compact as claimed by Canon
  • high purchase cost from £100 to £150
  • ADF not present so single scan/copy
  • no NFC

What our printer engineer Marius says

I was really happy to see that Canon has decided to bring back the two paper trays (Rear and Cassette)  and reduce the overall foot print by 30%.  This printer has a very modern look incorporating nice features like touch screen,wi-fi direct and  Mopria (android). The only  things not so good are  the buying price, the print/copy speed is average, the TS range  printers are no longer compatible with older MAC OS or Windows XP. Also there is no ADF on any of the TS Canon’s, that including the over £200 top of the range Canon TS9050.
